On September 18,2026, we had an outing at the Brooks Woodland Preserve

Our nature journal group explored this trail, observing many types of fungus, including "witches butter". We also observed various mosses, ferns and the beautiful Mocassin Brook . Somebody even noticed berries on a

Jack in the Pulpit plant. We all had a quiet moment to journal. The weather was perfect and this fall we have had plenty of rain, what a relief!
